I have a friend who wants to fish for mackerel. Is anyone doing doing that these days?

No Mackerel are around here so far. Just a sprinkling. Might change. I doubt it.

I've been watching the Brooklyn boat reports.

They were supposed to go for them b4 the deep freeze and sounded optimistic due to commercial reports.

So maybe not over ....

Love going once for them

Have a buddy on the GE and its all been herring so far, no big schools of macs yet.

"Mackerel season is over everyone. We are going to tie up until the spring and put on a fresh coat of paint, along with making some other improvements. Thank you all for a great season and we will see you again in the spring."

Man I miss the Macks especially the spring runs we used to get! Somehow I have a feeling ill be talking about this to my children one day. I remember one trip in my teens with my old man and a friend had 2 chest coolers filled in half day and came home early in light sleeves on Bogans boat.
