I keep seeing you guys saying there is fishable ice out there. I am in Somerset County so I need to travel a bit to get to the northern lakes. What lakes have fishable ice? Not looki g for your spots. Just name the lake or general area of it. Of course you can PM the info if your more comfortable. Thanks in advance!

Headed to Pecks Pond in PA tomorrow.

i can tell you cause i live right near and see it every day that cong has safe ice only in the coves though! the ice on the main lake is new as of last night so do not be fooled.

the small shallow lakes are iced up pretty good (obviously be safe but you can fish them) I'm eyeing up swarts for saturday, but can't get confirmation that the ice is safe although i really think it is since it was locked up two days ago.

if anyone lives by swarts and can confirm that the ice is thick i'd appreciate it.

Green Turtle Pond usually ices over early. Monksville north of the bridge too.
