We had a slow pick all day in the afternoon it became a little more consistent. And it got better and better we wound up with a very small crowd pretty much limited out. The bright spot of the day was sometimes mad gaffer mate 18 year old Alex Lebkes who soon will be one hell of a captain boated our biggest fish of the season so far just a touch under 15 pounds. (14lb 15 oz. on a boga grip scale photographed and released ) Alex owes all The credit to me because he conned me out of one of my favorite black fish rods .I was glad I gave it to him. Tomorrow my open boat is full but I have plenty of room New Year's eve we will be leaving early and coming back early and have lots of room New Year's Day call for information the reservations

I am glad to know that catch and release works and I am thrilled that she was released to fight another day. I believe that I caught that fish in October on tagged fish. I am comparing the pictures and all the distinctive spots match. Congrats Alex and catching and releasing a beautiful fish.

Nice fish. By looking at the bulging eye I can see you are fishing a little deeper.

That is awesome. One lucky fish and I hope I'm the next to catch and release her.
