If anyone has any good-quality pictures of fish they caught on the Millstone (carp, bass, pickerel, catfish, panfish), can you PM me for my email address if you'd like to share. Looking for a few pics for a magazine article.

Thanks.

Oh man... Was over there yesterday. Def some characters down there where I was fishing. Would've made for some pretty epic pics. They were slaying crappie, white perch, yellow perch and blue gills. Lots of bird life too... Geese, various species of ducks, herons, and birds of prey. Next time I go I'll be sure to bring a camera along...

I haven't fished there since I stopped working in Somerset. Never got a musky from there, but lots of other nice fish. Unfortunately I was always flying solo and don't have any pics. Saw you got another one today. Time to buy some musky lures and stop cheating. :)

Not looking to take a second mortgage out for a tackle box full of them

They'll hit large swim baits like you'd use for big bass. Grinder spinner baits $15 and a single paddle tail top water like a whopper Plopper $20 are the two more expensive ones I've had most luck with.

I never made it to the millstone but I work somewhat near it and wanted to check it out, just haven't yet.

Thanks for the pics guys, gonna shoot you guys PM's and hopefully you can email them to me.

Dale, you don't need to spend a lot of money on musky lures, you just need to buy the right ones. I caught almost half my muskies this year on one lure. You have to keep in mind that for the most part, and there are exceptions, a musky isn't going to expend the energy to eat a 4 or even a 6-inch Rapala. It's like going out to dinner and ordering a Tic Tac. A big profile 8- to 10-inch lure may seem big to the angler, but not the musky.

And now that you caught a couple, for the love of God put the live bait away. It's a fragile fishery, and a great way to destroy it is by having lurkers read reports and start yanking 6/0 Gammies out of muskies all year.
