Fish Monger II Sun 11/30 Blackfish to 10 lbs -

Wasn't a great forecast but was fishable and the guys wanted to give it a go...weather turned out ok just little bumpy on the ride home. Fishing was a good pick all day... the novices struggled a bit while others had their limit + no problem...Every had a crack at em Bite real hard at times n other times they would back off but Joe and the crew picked away all day for a box of 50 nice keepers. Good quality Couple of guys who don't blackfish much personal bests in the 7- 8lbs range. Even got lucky myself with a jumbo around 10lbs to end the day... sorry light on pics today rest was in the box still...Crew was a blast loads of laughs thanks again guys

Always a great time on the Monger with Joe and his group. Cpt Jerry and mates are always top notch. Always a lot of laughs. Now if I could just learn to catch those damm things like Bill, Dubes, Cpt jj and Matt. I did get a "proud of ya" from Jerry as he netted my 7lb'er. Always makes my day!

The adventures of Capt. Jelly...

This is HIS version of what took place yesterday:

He is the last one to the boat yesterday morning because he had to "drive to the beach to check the sea conditions".

What REALLY happened: Ummmmmmm.....he's in a full-time relationship with a member of the opposite sex. Staying in a nice, comfy, warm bed for a few extra "minutes" with said, aforementioned member of the opposite sex instead of driving to a boatload of potentially drunk, sarcastic, hard-to-please, low-level, examples of the male members of the species????????????

I believe nothing else need be said.........

We made it back to the dock while it was STILL light out WITHOUT a boat limit of tog.

His version of why: "Well...you know, guys, it was dangerous out there. Some of those waves were pretty big. In MY book, a safe charter is always better than a few extra minutes of fishing time".

The REALLLLLL reason why?????????

Re-read the earlier version of why he was the last person to the boat.

Yes, Monger Nation. We are slowly witnessing the transformation of Capt. Jerry, to his new, questionably-improved, version.

"Its a BIG ocean, Capt. Jelly."

I can backup up Capt. JJ's report ,

It had to happen one day but its great to see Capt. Jelly grow up right before our eyes and watch the budding romance and the smile - ;) on his face once his coffee and lunch arrived . Welcome to the club Jelly - we all love you and just remember we new you before the beautiful romance that we call "Bliss"

But I regress - trip was a blast had a great time with great cast ( thank you joe for the invite ) and crew - Nate and John worked there tails off and you never had to ask for anything ( except helping me pull out of the rocks and not losing my rigs again )

I had a limit plus ( started out en fuego but I fizzled at the end ) - :D and it was a pick and wiggle kind of day for us but went home with big bags of meat

Cant wait to do it again in a couple of weeks with the Monger Boyz and the "Bliss"

Happy Holidays - Be Well - Be Safe and Fish - On

Cpt Jelly is proud of everyone!
Sometimes I think my "proud of ya" really means "I put you on the fish what took so :@:$:&/" long". Maybe its just me but still makes me feel good about myself.

What about a change to decaf?
I would be afraid everytime I miss a fish (actually I would be screwed).

Holy Crap!!!!!!!

I cant even begin to imagine Capt. Jelly on a real tough, scratchy, no-wind tog trip, after 3 days of zero nicotine!

LOL!
