Hope the picture posts. Round Valley was nice Monday, and then it snowed. But with weather in the 70's, I landed a 6.9 pound rainbow from shore. That's my largest so far & may be for quite some time...Marshmallow & mealworm's a funny way to catch trout but you never think it's odd once you get used to being out there & enjoying the day. Some complain about weeds, but if you're in the right spot, your egg sinker makes rock contact.

Great looking fish man! Thats a beauty! Shoreline of the Valley has been producing some beautiful Bows this fall season. Do you know if anyone has been getting any Browns? Its like they disappeared or something. Im starting to wonder if theres any left!!! Congrats on a fine catch.:D

This season I haven't been there as much & haven't come across my buddies for info, but judging by what was said at Behr's Bait & Tackle, where I had it weighed, rainbows are the numbers. This one had a club tag, as would be expected, I guess. RV just doesn't seem to have the forage to grow these trout huge like they used to be. Last season I got nothing but browns, but very few.
