I have a few spinning rods for the Fall to jig bass with. They are all on the heavy side. I fished next to a few guys who had Shimano Trevala's. They looked like exactly what I'm looking for. Can any one advise which one I should get. Maybe a good reel to pair it up with. Thanks in advance .

TVS-66MH. Its the best all around Trevala for what you're looking for. Nice rod for 120 bucks!

Nobody knows fishing tackle better than Anthony....most likely because he's owned everything under the sun and then some:D

Shhhhhhhh..... LOL!!
Realized no one answered your second question. I have mine matched up to a Battle 4k. The new Penn Conflicts look nice too... Anything in the 4000/5000 range. Also a fan of the Quantum Boca/Cabo 40/50. Shimano and Daiwa make some nice stuff too.

I have the aforementioned rod and have it paired with a Shimano Stradic 4000--great set up.

i use my trevalla 6M (i think 6M, not looking at it right now) with a penn sargus 3000, i've used it for a few years already (sometimes in the kayak) and it's tamed stripers up to 43" and a cownose ray that was probably a good 20 lbs at least. It's maybe a tad on the light side of things but it's fun and hasn't failed me yet.
