I've got a relative that's potentially looking to clear our her deceased husband's large collection of gear (mostly freshwater). I haven't laid eyes on it yet, but I've got his inventory notebook in my possession and am planning to make a spreadsheet for her to show inventory and approximate value. Depending on the value and condition, I might buy the lot for use or resale. I've never done anything like this before, so I could use some help getting pointed in the right direction. Thanks!

Best way I have found is go on ebay and search for the items you want to sell, then on the left side click on Sold items. That will tell you what they have been selling for and their current going rates. Just keep in mind that Ebay/PayPal takes about 13-15% plus shipping when said and done.

I hope she doesn't sell it for what he told her he paid for the items!
Atleast that's what I would be saying if it was my wife selling my gear, lol.

Thanks! I was thinking of starting there, but didn't know if there was a "Kelly Blue Book" type of site out there.

I hear ya. She just wants to get an idea and I want to give her an honest projection so that she can decide what to do with the stuff.
