dave manning big yellowfin 10/21/14 (http://www.jennyleesportfishing.com/blog/index.php?/archives/227-dave-madden-big-yellowfin-102114.html)
http://www.jennyleesportfishing.com/blog/uploads/madden.jpgcapt's kevin gerrity and dave bender took dave manning of morristown and friends on an overnighter october 21,2014. the original trip was a gift for nestor who was getting married, so the guys treated him to a troll trip in august. the weather was not good and we were cancelled a few times so we ran offshore to do the overnight trip. the weather was not as advertised we it was not nice to say the least. we set up early in hopes of getting the late afternoon bite of longfin, well that didn't happen. after bailing the squid all evening we had a few bites, blue sharks, and we lost a big fish on the sword rod in the anchor line. at 2am the sword rod goes off and after a great job by the guys we had a 75pound yellowfin in the boat. we set back out and got three more bites. the guys somehow managed to go four for four on big nasty fish in very sloppy seas. no more love, but we were hoping for the false light daybreak bite...we are still waiting.. and waiting. turns out we did better than most on the chunk, a few friends trolled some bigeyes, the fish are still there, but the weather has turned again. kevin and i enjoyed these guys they really hung in there and left with plenty of fish.
