It was another good Open Boat Seabass trip with another great crew. On board we had Tom, Jay, Bill, Frank, Joe and newcomer to the Bounty Hunter Michael. Paul decided to fish deeper again and avoid the Inshore crowd. He put the boy's on a nice pile for our first stop and the Seabass were hungry. The guy's had 62 nice Seabass in the box when it was time to move on. We made brief stops on a few more pieces and by noon we had another 6 man Limit catch of 90 quality Seabass plus 1 large Porgy. The weather was fine, the fish bit well and everyone went home with a bag of Fillets. What more can you ask for? :):):)

A big thanks to Capt. Paul and Tony for a GREAT day! Very nice size seabass. Been a while since I fished with Capt. Paul...nice to be back. Also nice to step on and step off...no washing the boat down! :)
That was the biggest Porgy I've every caught! Hard fight on my very light "noodle" rod. :)
Nice to meeting everyone - very good fishing for all of us - see you again for stripers.
Some great eats tonight!

Way to go Capt. Paul and Tony. You guys really know how to put a catch together. Still enjoying the best eating fish that we caught on Sat. If you want to catch fish on a top notch boat and crew hop on the Bounty Hunter.

This was my first trip on the Bounty Hunter and it certainly won't be my last.
Tony the mate was very helpful and we were constantly on fish.
I have attached a photo of one of the sea bass from Monday done Thai-style from a recipe by a Seattle restaurant called Wild Ginger. The original recipe is for Chilean Sea Bass but it works great for regular Sea Bass done whole. We got the recipe from the January 2014 issue of Bon Appetit. It is definitely beyond any doubt the best sea bass recipe I ever came across. It is a little tricky because you first saute and then finish in the oven and do the sauce separately in the saute pan but well worth the effort.

That looks good. Maybe you could post the recipe on the Recipes board?
