Only thing I caught at the dock was a green crab this morning. Went out with a big crowd and picked at mixed sized ling. Tangles were bad as surf rods and wire spreader rigs were out in force today. A few flounder and small keeper cod were in the mix. Bite was about the same everywhere we went. Those who tried hard and had a bit of skill had 10-14 ling.

I wound up with 20 ling and a 1 1/2lb lobster. I had a lobster, a green crab and a white legger for the shellfish slam today. Pool winner was a 7lb cod and that guy had 2 keeper cod and 13 ling. High hook was 24 ling. Not great, but it beat working.

Well Done. I have never reeled in a lobster, did he hit hard? I have sunk a few green crabs and white leggers in my time in the reverse direction. Any day fishing beats working is a given! We are out of ling....I suspect there is a trip in our future.:)

No, they just feel like some dead weight. I only have 4 lobsters caught overall, all in the last three years. Twenty plus years before that, no lobsters.
