Tom HatField from Ocean Grove had a great day on the Angler today with 7 keepers and 3 fluke over 6 pounds including the pool fish. Others had 2, 3, and 4 keepers and some had none. We wish everyone caught them but it never works that way. Over the years I have seen many a guy be high hook one day and get the skunk the next. From the reports I get some of the best fluking the last few days has been on the Angler but I know that can change tomorrow. One thing in our favor is we carry very good flukers.
My computer was down since last Wednesday so I will post as many pictures as I can. Last week east wind kept us at the dock for Mon. Tues. and Wed. when we went out Thursday we had a stiff North wind and spent the morning looking down the beach where we had good sea bass fishing and no good fluking. We ended the day in SH channel where we found some keepers but mostly shorts. Friday wasn't much better with our best fishing on the change of tide. Saturday was even tougher with a strong east wind but we managed a fair short action with some keepers mixed in and a nice 7 pound pool fish.
As Doug posted yesterday we found a lot of hungry big fish yesterday. Gary took high honers with a limit and an 8 pound pool fish. Yesterday and today were carbon copies with some doing it and some not.
Time is running short and the winds look good all week so join us for some nice fluking.
BIG POOL NOW $3000.
7:00 AM FIRST BOAT OUT TOMORROW
CHARTERED SATURDAY 9/20
THANKS CAPTAIN GEORGE
