Has anyone been having any luck blackfishing in the bay yet ? Was thinking about switching things up from fluking and trying to get dialed in on the blackfish in the RB/SH area. Would it even be worth trying ? Not sure where to start in the bay i launch out of AHMM. Lighthouses/ Rockpiles I want to at least have a decent shot.

Over the past 25 years, I have sometimes had pretty good luck fishing the bay side of the long jetty protecting Atlantic Highlands boat harbor. Also sometimes Black Sea Bass and/or decent sized porgies are there. Also stripers at the tip at night. But I sold my Grady about 5 years ago, so I don't know lately.

Denlon, thanks for the response. I have always wondered about the rock wall and if it held fish, it makes sense that it would.

About 18 years ago there was one heck of a fall winter flounder run along the wall

It should start up pretty soon once the water temps drop.... Any rock pile in the bay should start holding them....
