Well the plan was to troll Bonito and Albies for a couple hours and then go fluke. After about an hour and a half of trolling from Manasquan Ridge out to 100 ft and back with only a Bonito and Albacore to show for it, I started to thaw out the bait. I was by myself so I gave myself a half hour more. All four lines go off, 3-4lb Bonito's. Tried to get lines back out and they were hit while in free spool. It went like this for 3 solid hours, I found the mother load of bait and fish. Caught all the 3-4lb Bonito you wanted, added some falsies, some Blues and bar jacks and towards the end of the day boated a 19.5lb Bull Mahi. Marks were at times 20-30ft thick, sand eels pushed on top. Stopped trolling to jig a bit with the ultra lights, caught a little of everything before the pee wee Blues were keyed in on the jigs. Went back to trolling, at best I could get 2 lines in the water. Fantastic day, only wish my dad was out with me! Next time I guess. For a change most of the fish were on Daisy chains, pink and green were the colors of the day, not a lot of action on small spoons. Fish were loaded with small sand eels.
