Thoughts of PB that cancels trip at dock

Hey guys, I know the Capt and Owner may read this but who cares I won't mention names. What's your opinion of a PB canceling a trip at the dock and making you drive to another PB? I just got back from a bluefish trip I was looking forward to with a close family member. We had 17 guys on the boat and they called the freaking trip! Yeah sure we could drive to another boat and have to go all the way up the side of the boat. Worst part was I felt bad for a father and his two kids cause the boat we were on offered kids sail for free, PB just cost him another 120 bucks to go on that other boat. Capt tried telling me some crap about gas blah blah but didn't like when I called him out that I sailed on that boat with a diff Capt last year with only 9 guys and it was when gas prices were much higher then what they currently are! Last time I ever show up to go on that PB again! I'm pretty sure he lost at least 5 guys including two kids who are future customers! :mad::mad::mad:

Every captain has their own reasons to sail or not sail. You or I may have a different opinion but it doesn't matter. If you feel wronged by their decision, then look to fish on another boat next time, that speaks volumes!

17 is plenty to sail! I would never go back to that boat! Go to the Robin, they sailed for me when there was only 8 guys! And we went 25 plus miles off . Great capt and crew! My 2 cents!

I love the Robin too but Thurs night blues in September has limited number of boats sailing. There are a number of PBs I have blacklisted in my mind for a number of different reasons. This one just got added! Lol.

Bad business model. Not only do you loose on 17 fares but these people don't come back and as seen here spread the word to other fisherman.

17 on board but with their current promotion "Kids fish free" (thats a give away to who this is) they didn't count the kids as fares thus that number was lower. Hopefully the boat next to them had ample room to accommodate a few more.

I would be interested in hearing how many adult paying fares they had on that large boat. But as said earlier each captain has a limit that he can take out before losing money.
