Yesterday we had nice weather, a great crew and awesome fishing on our open boat sea bass trip. It doesn't get much better than that!

It was like the cast of Reservoir Dogs with Bob aka Mr. Orange and Al aka Mr. Pink going tit for tat all day swinging nice big sea bass over the rail. I think they each wound up with around 20 keepers ORL. Lian aka Mr. Blue had a difficult time getting past all of the short fluke, but still mamanged to put 8 nice keepers on ice. It might have had something to do with his sea bass rig consisting of 3 different spros, one on top of the next, but I'm no expert.:D His friend Mr. Nothing went home with a great catch as well.

An unexpected suprise was the humpback whale that was a few hundred feet off our bow putting on a show chasing bunker. That was just the cherry on top of a great day on the water! Overall it was better fishing than we have seen lately and wound up only a few fish shy of a boat limit of sea bass up to 4 1/2lbs, a couple of bycatch fluke, half a dozen big triggers and a cocktail blue.

We will be running open boat for fluke all next week so please call or email me to reserve your spot at the rail.
