Mad gaffer 9/3 sea bass report

We hosted an open boat sea bass trip today and again the guys caught extremely well. We had tough conditions in the morning but once they straightened out we picked away nicely. Lots of big fish and quality keepers. Pics to follow. We will be sailing open Thursday Friday and Saturday for sea bass. Call captain ray for details and reservations

It was a great trip. I had fun, I brought along a wood and brass sidewinder reel mounted on a Montegue wooden boat rod, It was spooled with some old dacron line, I caught 4 nice keepers till I switched over to my newer gear: Daiwa Saltist 20-- 2 speed reel on a St. Croix Muskie rod to finish the day with 9 nice keepers including 2 large lump heads.

Many a fish was caught on the "old school" stuff!!! I still use my dads outfit just to see if it still works!! it never lets me down. Good memories
