It was nice summer weather on the Angler today and we had another good day of fluking. The stern was hot first thing this morning with Pat having 4 keepers in short order. Conditions were on the tough side with the wind across the tide when the tide changed. The boat either went ahead or backed up. The jiggers in the bow had the best action on the flood tide. Even though the boat backed up with the stern going over the fish first the bow was catching keepers and the stern mostly shorts.
Jim Custer was the first to limit and then Pat. Joe Byers from Toms River also fishing in the bow had a fluke over 7 pounds to win todays pool. There were other 5 and 6 pound fish on board. The weather looks good all week so pick a day and join us.
