My buddy and I trailered my boat, 21' Trophy hardtop cuddy, down to Atlantic highlands yesterday hit the water at 6:00am. First headed down to the Shrewsbury Rocks, pulled a 24" fluke on the first drop...on a sea bass rig. After that it was a mixed bags of shorts and keepers, ending with 6 keeper fluke all over 20" and 19 sea bass.
Between the Rocks, Rattlesnake, SHR, Scotland, the beach and the ammo pier we pulled in a total of 217 fish. Had several 2 & 3 fish hookups on the sea bass rigs. Had a truly great day on the water. Headed in at 5:30, got home at 8:00, took a shower and promptly passed out.
I'm still tired :)
Thanks to everyone who shared info with me while I prepped for this trip.
