Friday (a day late on the report - Sorry!) we had a full crew for our last weekday open fluke trip of the summer.
Ran to where we've been fishing and found a sloppy ocean with a big heave from the NNE and some chop. Needless to say conditions stank but we plugged through them.
Stayed on the sand in the am and fished a few lumps and got a couple keepers and some shorts. Around 10:30 or so we headed off to the snags just offshore and got into some action with keeper fluke, albeit it was a slow pick.
For the remainder of the day it was just that - slow - and towards the end it got even slower.
Only had ~25 fluke all day with 8 fish going in the box. All were nice fish in the 3-4# range, but nothing bigger or smaller for us.
Sorry no pics on this trip.
