Long Beach Island

Heading to LBI this weekend for the first time. Anyone have any thoughts, advice or reports about surf, bay or channel fishing? Any open boats running on Saturday down there?

There are 3 party boats in BL near the Viking village. The first one on the left is the best which I have been fishing off of for the last 20 years. Boats leave at 8am and back at 2pm. Have fun. :)

What Cadi said about the PB's. Only problem is fluke in the ocean has been crappy lately. Hasn't even been worth making the run. For the beach, best bet is to stop at Fishermans Headquarters when you get onto the island and talk to them about reports from the beach. Heard sharking at night was actually doing pretty good if you want to get into that.
