Had the pleasure of fishing with a great crew on the Jersey Key today.
Weatherman blew it again today, as the wind was more than expected, and we got soaked in the rain.
Captain Mike managed to put us on fish, as he always does, despite the conditions.
Ended up 27 keepers coming back to the dock and some nice sea bass mixed in.

I personally had my best fluke yet, weighing in at over 9 and a half pounds.
It was finally nice to swing on fish that didn't "short bite". Ended up catching fish all day.

Special thanks to first mate Scott, and Captain Mike, for an awesome time as usual.

Thanks Gerry . Best part about it was that I swung and locked him up and then uh-oh .....all gone .

Hence the first picture , if you notice my hat barely hanging onto my sweatshirt , I was about to launch it into the water for dropping such a monster hit .

Fed it right back and .....Whammo ...Hit it again and thank God I was able to land him.

If you haven't fished with Mike on the Jersey Key , I highly recommend giving it a shot .
