No stripers at the dock. We went up the beach and picked at some triggers, sea bass and short fluke. Not enough to stay inshore so we moved off deeper. Out there we picked at mixed sized ling and jumbo flounder. Those who fished hard went home with some nice dinner.

I wound up with 2 triggers, 2 flounder, 1 sea bass and 16 ling. Pool was a 5lb trigger that edged out several 4 1/2lb flounder. John Grady and Jim Forgothisname had 4 flounder and 30 ling. Several others in the teens on mixed fish. Hopefully Capt TB will add some deck shots to the thread.

Since my weekly bottom trip got blown out yesterday, I'm thinking about doing the marathon trip on the Paramount, Friday. Since I have never done this trip before any tips or suggestions would be appreciated.

Get there early, set up mid ship. Try in the back for stripers on weightless clams right near the boat. Bring a variety of hooks from 1/0 to 3/0 and a variety of weights from 6 to 12 oz. Mon and Fri are mixed bags so you can be catching sea bass in 50 ft early and then getting ling and flounder in 200 ft later. Watch for mahi when you are in the deep. BRING ICE.:D
