Wednesday as I walked onto my dock I saw 2 very strange fish.It was shaped like a sunfish. It was bright blue in color and about 3 inches long.It had a tail that was 2 feet long and maybe 1/8 of an inch thick. And before anyone asks , no I dont do drugs.

thats where we have seen them also. I cant believe that the snappers have not torn them to pieces, those fins look like pieces of electric blue ribbon.

I have seined small Lookdowns about the size you described and they have streamers off the dorsal that are very long. They are also more of a chrome color. Not sure about something that has long tail though.

sorta sounds like a lookdown, but not sure about the blue... without a picture it's very hard to ID

most likely lookdowns.. The have very long thin fins.. However 2 foot long fins on a 3 incher doesn't sound right.. The fins on some are kind of a "glowing" blue.. Do a search, and type in" lookdown fish pictures", and you will find some good pictures
