Had plans to fish with an old friend today when I got the call at five AM I knew it wasn't good. He was called into a new job which I wish him luck with. So I posted a quick plea for help at 5:15AM. Vintastic answered the post like he was up all night waiting! He's in he says and off we go. So much nicer ( and safer) then going solo.
We made a long run on a hunch and found the fleet. Vin, as usual, did very well on the "DS". He ended up with four nice keepers. I had two but they were both nice at around four pounds. Nice to see a bunch of friends out there. Really makes you feel like part of a special community.
Be at it again Saturday.

Forgot to mention the sizable shark I almost ran over:eek: got a very quick look while we were running. Decent sized fish right there, then gone!
That's why I don't swim in the ocean! I've seen quite a few sharks the last few weeks.

Are you sure it wasn't a whale? I was out where you were and passed a.pod of whales on the way back in about 11am.
