July 30th Report
Captain Matt reports picky Fluke fishing the past couple of days. We catch some shorts along with a few keepers every trip but overall it has been a little on the tough side the Captain said. There is good life on the beach with shorts but the keeper ratio is not there. Off the beach, the bites are far and few between but there are more decent size keepers. Pink and white gulps catch the most but the squid/spearing combo has not been to bad either. There is no lack of fish in our area, just getting them to bite is a different story. This time of year is when we start seeing more of the bigger fish showing up in our area so hopefully they will start getting a little more hungry!
DECENT BLUEFISHING TONIGHT (WEDNESDAY)!
Matt says Monday night, he went looking for the big boys that moved in the area. Got up there, read them REALLY good on the color scope but could not get them to bite. I read them from one anchor to anchor (when we anchor, we usually put out two of them) he said. And when we came back on them, they didn't bite! Tuesday night the boat looked off shore and picked away at the 1-2lbers with a few in the 3-4 pound class! Tonight was better for the 4lbers! I seen alot more fish there tonight than the last and saw a lot on my way home. We also seen a few of the bigger ones swimming around toward the end of the night so hopefully it happens in the next couple of days! We will keep giving it our best!!!!!
