Gonna give the surf a try tomorrow after being skunked with no keeper fluke on the party boats for the past few weeks and want to know if i should get my hopes up or not? Any info would be appreciated and will post a report tomorrow

Fish around structure, try both sides, i fished a jetty yesterday north side nothing south side i had 7 shorts, i would have worked a few more jettys but i had to get going.
Use 1/2 OZ Diamond /ava jig remove tail hook an swivel , replace with a small split ring and 2/0 or 3/0 mustad BAIT holder hook slide on white 4" gulp swiming mullet .
If you have 1 oz ava use that. Maybe you want to experiment with some small metal jigs you may have lying around, i am gonna try this with the small deadly dicks and small T hex and kastmasters.
Good luck.

Ended up fishing from 730 am - 1 pm. Managed to catch a few shorts but mostly sea robins. Finished the day off with 1 keeper fluke just barely over 18".
