About the weather...I'm liking this "polar vortex" jet stream that has been in place since last winter. I'm no authority (who is???) but it seems to me that storms coming up the coast have been tracking further to the east lately, for the most part. The canyon weather reports that I've seen in the past 6 weeks or so seem mild compared to years past. I could be all wet but I'm hoping the vortex stays in place. Another cold winter suits me well, I'm fat. A hurricane free fall suits me even better, I LOVE to tuna fish!

Still room guys --but quit dragging your feet. Lets go! Faint-heart never won fair-maiden.

Or, as Cecil said: "On the plains of hesitation bleach the bones of countless millions, who while at the dawn of victory, sat down to wait and while waiting died."

Is that over the top?

Anyway... the 36 hour is my favorite canyon trip. Lots of opportunities to catch fish. And if we are fortunate enough to catch our limit of yellowfin, we can go for mahi, tiles or hit some deep-water wrecks.

How's this shaping up ?
Can't wait
I can't go thru my crap any more.

Hope next weeks maiden 2014 48 trip gets out. That will get everybody fired up.
Really disappointed I could not make the 1st 48 because of business but I am psyched and booked on the NJ Fish 36, a 24 and the other 2 48's
Thinking about jumping in on the end of te season 36 too.
You have to get your spots locked up.

All we need is a little love from Mother Nature for October and it should be a great season

October offshore weather. This is why you need to book a few in advanced.

Only gets tougher as the month rolls on.

Good luck! Bring plenty of 10-12oz jigs for the rough stuff. It's easier to work a jig in higher seas than get your bait down right. We crushed them on jigs in 6-8s with a stiff 25knot NW sept 21-22
