Actually a cool day on the water with a hard south wind. Made several drops and all held a mix of sea bass and ling. More short sea bass than my other trips, but quite a few nice keepers. Ling fishing was a decent pick. A flurry of sea bass moving to slow and steady linging on each piece.

Pool was a nice 3 1/2lb sea bass and that guy had 17 ling to go with it. I had 8 keeper sea bass (OLR) and 14 ling. A guy near me had 5 keeper sea bass(ORL) and 17 ling. One of the kids on the boat had a big remora and keeper sea bass doubleheader which was a first for me. I think everyone who spent a good amount of time at the rail had enough for a nice dinner.

Forgot to add that they had high hooks in the 30s and 40s last week and the weekend but I think the 20 mph South hurt us a touch yesterday.

I only use clams and plain hooks and do just fine. Some others did well with a variety of gulp.
