First I must say that words cannot describe my day. Fishing with my “old man” and my “little guy”.

Woke up the little man (6 Year old) @ 6 AM, dressed him and headed down the parkway to meet my dad and Jerry. Boy where do the years go? I remember my dad tying rigs and helping me, now I was doing that for him and my son. Awesome feeling even though I didn’t fish much but this is a day we will not forget.

In between my son catching 10 fluke, all shorts and my old man catching 3 keepers after I convinced him to bucktail I tried out my new rod from Kevin Bogan that I paired with a Stratic CI4 (awesome, thanks Kevin). We fished from 7:30 until 2:30 until the wind kicked up more than the drift sock could handle.

We ended the day with 6 keepers to 6 ½ pounds, one 5 ½ and 4 between 18-22 inches.

Tight lines. Back out on Wednesday on The Monger. Hope the wind calms down.

PICS SAY IT ALL

P.S. White bucktail landed the 2 big fish.

Excellent !!!
Doesn't get any better than that.
My boy James caught the fish bug and can't sleep the nights
Before fluking. I never forced him to come , and now I'd have to force him
To stay home.
If I did everything else wrong from this point forward ,
I feel as though I've done him and the world right , I've passed on
My passion- Fishing. Which was exactly what my pops gave to me.

Happy Buck Tailing.

I remember doing the same thing when Dad & grandfather took me fluke fishing when I was just 7 years old and that was 58 years ago. Its a great to see that young boy enjoying fishing. What a great fishing story. Enjoy these trips as little boys grow up quick.

Congrats on putting your little guy and your pops on the meat. I'm sure some of those photos will make it on the wall and they will remember that day for a long time to come. Nothing more satisfying than returning the favor to your Dad and passing along our great sport to your son. He's definitely a keeper.
