On Saturday Vincent, Rich and Steve Miller fish aboard the Megan Beth an entered in Mako mania. Heading down south the ride was nice as I heard a lot of guys complaining about the NE wind. By the time we got to spot wind dropped out and No drift. Fished first spot about an 1 1/2 hrs. with no hits at all. Headed to the east about 10 miles , wind picked up and drift was good but only three light runs offs and nothing came tight.
On Sunday we fished with normal crew Russ, John, Steve, Lou and Joann. Ran out East about 45 miles. Beautiful conditions water ,temp, life and drift. About 9:15 we released our first Mako about 50 Lbs., 10 minutes had our second Mako about 75 Lbs. ,released. That was it for the rest of the day. Worked the area making three moves to pick up some structure.
Congratulations to all the winners! Maybe it will be our turn next year..
