Man - - - some people have balls!!! Once again - not only were my stockpiled killies stolen, but someone cut the rope to my trap and stole the whole trap which had a combination lock keeping it shut. On a Friday afternoon.

I refuse to lose this battle! I don't care if I am 'stupid enough' as some have said already - to put my trap out on a public launch area in my hometown (Oceanport). It's crazy that someone would steal a locked trap like that.

Next trap is going to be locked and tethered to the bulkhead on a cable. I will win this war!

You're crazy not to put a cam up. I'm sure someone would lone you one for this. I bet you will be surprised with who is doing it.

Unless you can hide your equipment completely out of sight, there's no real way possible to avoid having this happen over and over again. Even if you secured your traps with chains and a lock, all some dirtbag has to do is grab a set of bolt cutters. Definitely agree on the video camera, although it means you're subject to losing another setup in the process. It sucks that someone has to jump through hoops to protect their gear.

River Otters!!!! They would steal all my killes out of my killie pot in kettle creek. After securing it with wire they took the whole damn thing. I saw the little bastards make off with it.

Yup! Unfortunately locks are intended to encourage ”honest” people to do the right thing.

After hearing about having rods stolen out of your boat, when I stop for killies on Rt. 36 I have all my rods in the back of my van. I used to be a naive trusting person but no more. Would be a real financial to blow to lose rod and reels.

Camera camera camera.... Then they will steal that as well , you should take a lil walk to a less obvious spot at the very least, good luck catching something...or someone... I would step it up a few notches, get some poison ivy, oak, and,or sumac and marinate the line in that, just tie a brick on the other end if it can't be seen in the water, I would set out 6 or so lines with the special sauce! See how long they go for that... Good luck and booby trap the hell out of it!!! Just make sure you don't forget the gloves

You are crazy for not putting a cam up. And no you won't win the war. If the guy wants the trap bad enough he will get it cable or not it sounds like good luck. I'd find a new spot...

One simple question. What did the police tell you when you repoted it?
