Was thinking about taking out a rental boat tomorrow morning. Was wondering if anyone has been fishing the river with any success?

Went today on my kayak and did pretty good. Only got one keeper, but a ton of shorts to keep you busy. They were killing the bucktail on the incoming tide, but right when the tide switched the bite turned off. Fish by the tennis courts and the docks near the boat ramp and you should have a good time.

I've been fishing the inlet for a few weeks now for the flatties and the action has been pretty solid for me. Usually wind up with a keeper or two and tons of shorts to keep ya busy. I'd imagine with a rental boat you can do even better since u can cover a lot more water. I like using spearing on a plain flounder hook and I've done well with that combo in the inlet. It seems like they want meat more than artificials like gulp but that's just my opinion. I've seen guys using gulp and Bucktails and not catch a thing when 20 feet away guys with strip baits or minnows are crushing them.
