Back on the Fluke grounds, for a rare weekend trip for my brother Tom and I, hoping to find some keepers. We fished the Shrewsbury Channel out to #1 Can, the breakwater at the harbor, the many dropoffs at #13 Sandy Hook Channel and outside as far South as North Beach. Outside the Skates were killing us along with a doggy and a few short Fluke and a few Sea Robins which Tom turned into our favorite bait, Killies are hard to come by at our usual spots.Back at noon with no keeper Fluke for us. Fished just about the same area except we hit the Chapel Hill Channel, with the same results . But did pick up a 20 in. fluke at Chapel Hill.
