We had one more good day on cod grounds most of the fish caught on jigs with biggest being 32lbs everyone went home with lots of fish

Just wanted to say I had an awesome time. This was my first time on board. Capt. Denis and mate Andrew were on their game. Fished with a bunch of great guys, including Anthony Chinni. We had a ton of laughs and jokes. Capt. Denis worked his butt off and made several adjustments on each spot. Very nice boat to fish on. Was nice to catch cod during June off of NJ. Pollock was also a nice treat. Later in the day we started picking some jumbo Ling to add some more meat to the already filled coolers on board.

Great day yesterday on the cod grounds! Was a textbook example of why you should listen to the Captain and Mate when they make suggestions. They told me to go with the jig and it paid off! Until the stainless steel hook broke on a monster fish!! :confused::eek::mad: But Denis was quick to fix me back up and back down the jig went and a few minutes later I had redemption when the fish couldn't resist the jig and this time backing it into the cooler. :D:p:D

Forgot to mention, its not every day while you're fishing a not so popular rod that is no longer made and the guy next to you looks over and says hey nice rod u like it... and I say yeah i love it... and he then says he was the designer of the rod!! Whatttt? Was a pleasure fishing next to you Lou! Thanks for designing a great rod! Was humbled to have the famed Steve O'Connor on my right and Lou on the left! Trip of the season for sure! Sorry to the poor guy that missed the trip cause he was hung over (you know who you are) ;)

Good local coding a plus , since opportunities always exist to hook up to a big boy ! Nice day on water & looking forward to next baccala trip !
