At what size do you think the fluke start/begin to become less active? I would think there would have to be a certain size in which they become less agressive as they begin to stop growing as and thus stop feeding. They are just like us humans(although fluke are cold blooded:D), obviously....

Personally, I believe a fluke anywhere between 16/17-22 inches is will start to become less active. Obviously following that standard, Fluke bigger than that size range will be even more and more lethargic.

Definitely a interesting question to ask to us fishermen regarding fluke and also marine bio.

Good question, wonder what fellow NJFISHING anglers will vote on.

I dont think its a matter of being lethargic but more a matter of a larger fish will "claim" an advantageous feeding area requiring them to expend less energy travelling for food. The biggest fish will claim the best spot on a wreck. If that fish is caught, the next biggest fish will immediately take his place. Finding these spots and marking them for future use is how some guys consistently catch 8# plus fish.
