Hello All,
Fri 5/23 Well We broke in the Our New Boat In true Monger Fashion a Limit of Stripers + Kathy had the first one ( ladies first :)) which was also a personal best! Slugged away all afternoon until the box was filled with 17 lunker between 30-38 lbs.
Sat 5/24- Mon 5/26 Over the holiday weekend we went bottomfishing. The seabass was def slower than we would normally be used to for this time of the year. Looked all over North south deep inshore etc but never found what we were looking for Some ling and a couple keeper cod we mixed. scraped up a 100 fish on sat mix of (seabass n ling) 60 seabass sun, and a mix of 55 on Mon.
Tues 5/27 am and Pm Stripers. Tues was a tough day for us. Some Guys got into them well but it wasn't our day. On the am trip we were tortured with bass playing with baits n not eating only manage to box two. On the pm trip Jim had the family out first time live liners . they had fun making bait:) had alittle more action but again had a bunch just slapping baits. managed 4 bass and missed few other b4 the t storm was rolling in and the guys decided to call it a day. def not enough but the crew had a good time.
As always as much as i dont like it sometimes ya gotta take the good with the bad. Be back at it everyday we can after this northeast wind.
