Got out Sunday with Good friend and long time business associate Neil Meador, his son Brian and another good friend business associate Larry aboard Capt Derek Fischer Price IV. Fishing with Capt Derek was high on the bucket list as I have been listening to Neil brag about his trips with him for years.

Fresh off their WIN Sat at the Hi-Mar Tourney Capt Derek and Gerard were eager and ready to go early Sun AM and did NOT disappoint. Couldn't have been easy after a looong day Sat but great to see that passion. Capt Derek is the definition of efficiency and made bait in 2 throws after knowing exactly where to find them. An hour later in one stop we had our limit of bass to 23 lbs and at least a dozen blues. Played C&R until the bite shut down late morning totaling 17 bass and countless blues.

Gerard worked his tail off and we needed or wanted for nothing he hadn't already provided for without asking.

Everyone was in the mix, lots of laughs, good music (as long as Derek picked the station LOL) .
Great boat, Capt , mate etc and after finally get out with them its no wonder this boat / crew is so successful. Highly recommend a trip with them and we will be back for sure.

Finished the day with Broiled Striper / diced tomatoes, green peppers, onions.
All good

Yup, It was a good one. Now the predator becomes the bait in the next step up the food chain. I Put a rack out back last night, we'll see what comes out of the woods ! I believe that there is a part of successful catching that is luck but there are other factors that can definitely tip the odds in your favor and the right captain is big part of the equation and we had the right captain. That said, now I can forget a couple of the not so great trips I've had in my days, I figure for every outstanding fishing trip you're allowed to forget about 2 crummy ones and pretend they never happened ! ha.
