Left the Manasquan Inlet 10 pm Friday night for a 2 day Tile trip. Woke up Saturday morning some 130 miles offshore to some really beautiful weather. The day was perfect but the fishing was a bit slow. Fishing early in 900+ feet of water saw some Wreck fish, Hake, Barrel fish and Rose fish come up. We moved to some shallower water 500-600 feet and found some Golden and Blueline Tiles. I ended the day with 2 Golden, 1 Blueline, and 3 Rosefish. Well 1 Rose fish was sacrificed and traded up for a nice Golden Tile. Found out about 8:30ish there wasn't going to be a day 2 due to weather building after midnight and would of made for a nasty ride home. I think once the water warms up a bit the fishing should definitely improve. Can't wait to get back out and give it another go.

Wow, bummer having the 2nd day shut off but better to be safe. How did the rest of the boat do on tiles? What weight were you using and how were the dog fish?

Used my new Fish Poison (Thanks Kevin) with up to 3lbs.of lead. A few guys had 5+ tiles and some had 1 or none. The doggies were pretty much non existent. Maybe 3-4 smoothies all day.

Gerry- It was more of a from the inlet than out.

Nice going Mark. Shame day 2 got blown out but looks like you got the rust off.
Is the prosciutto ready yet?
