I'm not sure if anyone posted this cause I'm not on nj that much but I just wanted to say RIP George... He was a faithful regular on the miss Belmar princess and a good friend to me.. George would always show up at 545-6 am no matter what the weather conditions, whether it blowing 30 ne or 45 from the west George was always there... He loved fishing just as much as u and me.. He always brought tastycakes for us and the crew... He loved fishing light tackle and we always busted his balls for being pulled around the 120ft boat... George was a great guy that would do anything for ya...one time we had a bass bite and he had the only real crocks on te boat and gave me one... Just don't get in his way when he had a big blue on.. My condolences go out to his wife and family.. George will truley be missed not just by me but the many others that got the pleasure of meeting him.. Tight lines George and may god be with u and ur family... I'm hoping to b aboard when his ashes are dropped to the sea.. Btw George loved fishing Mexico waters too as every year he fished and always sent a report to us....George will be missed by many

My condolences to his family. It sounds like he was a "Good Man".
That's all that we can try to be. Thank God for fishing. It brings us a lifetime of Memories to all those who do it with us.

RIP. God Bless His Family.

George Zimmes, aka Bad George will be sorely missed. A twice a week fishermen, he was a fixture in Belmar as long as I can remember and that's pretty long. I enjoyed many years fishing along side of him, his brother and the rest of our little group, RIP George.

We fished together for over 20 years and we all will miss him. My last conversation with George was just over a month ago. I didn't know it would be the last. Now somebody else will have to tell us if the fish are taking bait or that we are on our way to the Rocks as we turn right leaving the inlet. He was part of our group, a character and good friend. We each have our own personalities and he certainly was unique.

He sounds like a guy I could hang out and fish with all day long. My condolences to you and his family. A person like that will be missed by many.
