Fished a lake this morning that I've driven past hundreds of times over the years. It's a private lake so I got the ok from a business owner to go ahead and have some fun. I was hoping to find some Largemouth but Crappie was plentiful instead. After throwing a few different lures at them to see what would work, the winner was a Rebel Hellgrammite. I bought it over the winter from Cabela's and have been itching to try it out. Holy crap talk about action. This little sucker can be worked like a crank , jig or blade bait. So for about two hours the action was nonstop. A fun way to spend my Saturday morning. A lot of fun.
