any first hand reports? love ling fishing...just not sure if water is still too cold.

Still very slow, a few weeks should see improvement.

It'll be time for fluke and seabass by the time ling show up.

Still slow due to temps but I will be out on Monday so hopefully a few are on the move.

I hope you are right, but personally I have my doubts..
Couple of the Sheepshead Bay boats are catching them. Some nice size to them too. It's a matter of time...

snow runoff, & i refuse to believe all the chemicals used in snow removal doesn't do something. bottoms gonna be colder then the surface give the trout 2 weeks

Ling fishing is so good a few of the "ling" headboats from our inlet were on the Knoll clamming bass this morning from what I've heard :rolleyes:
I say memorial day. And it's not a lack of fish, the water's too doggone cold.
