Well I went to bed yesterday and the canal was flowing around/over the locks in SBB. I wake up this morning and take my morning look out my front window and the canal is basically a stream! I head across the street to talk to what turned out to be United Water reps. (What a swell personality he had) There is a breach of the tow path at the concrete spillway in South Bound Brook across from Ovations resturant. Easton Ave lock was raised to hold back some flow. A temporary dam is being put in place and repairs will be underway. They say it should start refilling tomorrow some time. Hope it doesn't kill the fishing. Pics to follow later.
Also, the tow path is closed upstream of the SBB locks.

No problem Crewchief. At this point I can say that the canal has risen slightly in SBB. Nowhere near what it should be. At this time I would plan on either heading upstream of SBB or down stream of the SBB locks on canal road. Seems the impact after the lock is minimal as odd as that sounds. I will keep people updated the best I can.
