April 10th..... dark day indeed..... on this day 6 yrs ago and 1 very short year ago I lost 2 great friends.... Capt Victor Medina and my Bow Monkey and partner in crime LAB aka Mike Wells ..... both were lost to a bullet.... both were fishermen, both were fathers / family men, and most of all just GREAT HUMAN BEINGS.... both new each other and fished with each other with me and many other individuals and how I miss them both terribly..... it all seems so cruel that the good lord would not only take the both you but on the same day none the less and in such insane situations.......

First to Victor.... dude you were one hell of a fisherman and friend... ya left us all at such a young age that it was is much of a shock then as it is still today.... I tell you every year on this day that we WILL see each other again one day and now ya have my buddy and brother Mike to hang with at the fishing hole till the day I get there and throw ya's both in..... R.I.P. Junito.... forever in our hearts.....

And now Mike...... wow were do i start..... its been a year....a ****ing year since that POS / Scumbag took you from us.... I still think to this minute that I can dial your number and break balls with you.... your death left a hole in me that will never be filled..... every time the boat left the dock I talked to you in some way....your voice and image will be burned in my brain till my time comes... the way you touched others lives is a true testament to the good hearted person you truly were.....and so now your up there bouncing tails or soaking crabs with Victor....you will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN MY BROTHER....NEVER

Thinking this over again maybe April 10th shouldn't be that dark of a day after all as it gives me a special time to think of and remember 2 very special people in my life....thinking of how they both left a foot print on my soul.........so to my 2 Amigos may god keep you safe and happy TILL WE MEET AGAIN....AND WE WILL ...LOVE AND MISS YA BOTH

Thanks for posting this Tom, the photos bring back some great memories. I wish you, the Wells family, and the Medina family Hart-felt condolences at this troublesome time. It was privilege to have your 2 buddies touch our lives . . . .

Not the same around here without his wit, help and lively banter. Talk about someone who was full of life. A very sad day indeed.

Never met either of them but by the sounds of it, they were great men.

RIP gentlemen. Tight lines in those white clouds.

Do not know why I clicked on the Non Fishing Thread as I never come here.
After clicking on this thread now I no why I came here. Hard to believe that a year has past by and another fishing season is getting started without our beloved friends. RIP
