a couple days of cold rains has things off to a sluggish start, but keep at it, they're out there, only going to get better over the next week or so as things warm a little

What 'acabpt' said. I've spoken to guys from the Flatbrook to Tuchahoe Lake in Cape May County and it seems the opener was slow just about everywhere. This coming weekend ought to be prime with the lower flows and warmer water temps.
I spoke with a friend who saw the hatchery truck, stocking on the South Branch at 3 Bridges Road going down stream was extremely light. Locations stocked in previous years by 4 to 6 net loads, were 1 to 2 net loads this year. Not sure if the Hastchery issue is playing into this, or if they are shifting the stocking strategy. Catches all over the South Branch were light.
I should have added, I heard the North branch is producing though.
