I fished on a non sponsor 6 pack on sunday. We had a boat limit with 12 fish over 10 lbs and my personal best of 19.75. my buddy Alex had one that was 17. What a day. water got up to 46 we fished really deep water 180 ft. From what i heard the few boats in shallow had a rough day. Whites were the ticket few on greens, shrimps just got bergall bites.

Congrats on your PB. So close to the 20 lb mark and yet so far.
Spoke to Alex yesterday and he filled me in on all the details.
You have really had some great trips surpassing your PB each time.
Going to be tough to top that one but hope you break the 20 mark

Here are the rigs used by Mike P and some others on the boat endorsed by the Capt..We also outfit the boat with their bucktail jigs
Mike really likes the snafu Version of this rig and usually buys about 100 a season.

Good to read! We have our first 6 pack of the year in 2 weeks with the CM rock star, a combo striper & tog trip. Was fretting its still too early for stripers with the water temp still too low, but nice to know the big tog are chewing good!

Phil Leo used to be in my surfcasting club. Many a late night fishing with him on the Northern NJ beaches. He is a real nice guy. Glad he is doing well as a capt now.
