I used to do a Dbay charter each year this time, they are just starting those trips now, sponsor, Stalker is a good one for this, for shore fishing NJ you need to read the regs, all that good.
We used FRESH clam, has to be fresh, best to get whole and shuck them on the spot, throwing in the shells and all if you can, and change it often, bait washes out fast, up some, below Salem, heard guys use, blood-worms too. hth
