Yea I heard a lot of fish were caught before I got down last night. Apparently I was in the wrong spot. Thinking about going out tomorrow night

Have never fished this early, nor have I personally ever done well with Clams or Worms for the Striped ones.... What would you guys recommend? Stick it out with Clams?

I'll be surf fishing tonight, first time this year :D

I fished this afternoon in back bay....got one short striper and a 15 inch flounder. Was using worms on a 3/0 baitholder hook.

With the right conditions and water temps march and April can be crazy productive months.
Clams are king early I use 25-30lb fluro with a fishfinder and 5/0 or 6/0 gami baitholder

Once bunker are the bait different ball game.
I'm not a huge fan of worms early as I have found they rarely out fish clsm in the bay and usually get smaller fish. But I change the hook to a 3/0 baitholder if I do use them.

Good luck
