Loaded Crab Cakes

2 tbl olive oil
6 chopped green onions
1/2 cup olive oil
1 16 oz crab meat drained ( Boss Crab ) by fish market
1 ex large egg
1 tbl mayo
1 tea dry mustard
4 oz of butttery round crackers crushed 1 sleve

1 pinch of ground cayenne pepper
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon old bay
1 cup reg bread crumbs
salt and pepper to taste ( don't go crazy )

.heat 2 tbl olive oil in skillet and saute green onions briefly
until tender
.combine crab, green onions, mayo, mustard, crackers, cayenne,
garlic, Old bay salt and pepper and egg. Form into 1/2 inch patties.
Coat patties with regular bread crumbs.
.heat 1/2 cup oil in large skillet and fry crab cakes over med high heat untill brown

Dip for above
mix 3/4 cup mayo, 3 finely chopped cloves garlic, 2 1/2 tbls lemon juice
1/2 teas salt, 1/2 teas pepper and one shake of tabasco -

where does the egg factor in ? to hold the cake together or to hold the breading on?? Im anxiously confused here... Im making these soon... well gonna wing it and mix in the egg with everything. Hope it works out im sure it will...

Man this sounds good. My wife is a crab cake junkie so going to have to give this a try.

These came out great!!! Only thing I did different was to use panko instead of regular crumbs... Thanks for the recipe Dano, keep em coming!:D

Tried these last night and we also used Panko instead of the bread crums. My wife is a bit of a crab cake connoisseur and these were the best we've ever had and the dip put it way over the top.

Thanks Dano and keep these recipes coming please.

Tried this again tonight but used it less the bread crumbs and frying to stuff and bake some Fluke... Delicious!!! Stuff and roll your Fluke fillets and bake for 20 mins on 350.

Damn good, had to cut down on the green pepper though and did a 1/2 panko to 1/2 seasoned crumbs. Also, made some of them into smaller sized round shape (if I say balls you know what the reply will be) and the dip was da shizzle

I made your crabcakes the other night and only changed to Panko Crumbs. Love em' Had them the last couple nights for dinner.... thanks for sharing the recipe!! :D
