Captain Wayne Eble, 51, of Barnegat, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 9, 2014. Wayne was the Captain of the charter boats, Searcher II and The Webo. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, and gardener.
Son of the late Charles Eble Sr., he survived by his loving wife, Kathleen Meehan; his daughters, Jaime and her husband Gregory and Jillian; his sons, Wayne and Kyle Greenhalgh; his mother, Doris Eble; 2 brothers, Ronald and his wife Cindy and Charles, II and his wife Robin; and grandson, Hans.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 13 at the Thos L. Shinn Funeral Home, 10 Hilliard Drive, Manahawkin. Funeral services are 9:30 a.m. Friday, March 14 at the funeral home after which there will be a funeral procession past the Searcher II in Barnegat Light.
